Dr. Shea Christensen is originally from Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney with a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Family Studies. She went forward to graduate from the Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. Dr. Christensen completed internships with honors at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu, HI; and Spivack Vision and Laser Center in Denver Colorado. Her practice experience includes primary care, specialty contact lens fittings, dry eye and ocular disease treatment and management.
Her husband is recently retired from the United States Air Force and throughout her career she has practiced in Colorado, Ohio, Florida, and Virginia before moving back home to Nebraska. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Nebraska Optometric Association, and American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control. She is a provider for See to Learn, a program to assess vision in 3 year olds. In her spare time, Dr. Christensen is an avid reader, enjoys arranging flowers, practicing yoga and spending time with her husband and two girls.
